About Ian Brown
Ian is a seascape and landscape painter who has been pursuing his art seriously for the past two years, capturing real locations in south west england—from the Jurassic cliffs to Instow, Appledore, and Tintagel. For Ian, seascapes and landscapes are the same: whether it’s grass or sea, it’s all about a place that means something. He’s never drawn to paint just waves or rocks—each painting is rooted in a location with essence and character, a scene that feels unmistakably like being there.
